BVI Yacht Charter
”The British virgin Islands”

The British Virgin Islands is an overseas territory of the United Kingdom, consisting of 4 main islands: Tortola, Virgin Gorda, Cooper Island, and Norman Island, as well as many smaller ones. The cluster of islands is part of the volcanic archipelago of the Caribbean and is world-renowned for its magnificent, reef-lined beaches, marine life, party hotspots such as the Soggy Dollar Beach Club and the Willy T, and an ideal and highly popular yachting destination. You won't want to miss relaxing at one of the many beach clubs scattered around the BVI, dining on the famous Anegada Lobster dinner, scuba diving the historic wreck RMS The Rhone, or exploring the giant granite monoliths scattered around The Baths.

The Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport on Beef Island only has a few flights, so it's better to fly to a bigger Caribbean island like Antigua, St Martin, Puerto Rico or the US Virgin Islands, and take a 30-60 minute connecting flight from there. The US Virgin Islands also has a ferry to the BVI and private water taxis from Red Hook and Charlotte Amalie. It's worth the journey because it's the world's most famous yacht charter destination.

The Weather

The British Virgin Islands is considered a great sailing destination for its accessibility and friendliness. It is easy to navigate with all of the islands being in sight and relatively close to each other. With the exception of Anegada, the islands are also well-protected. The winter months from November to April/May are a great time to visit as the trade winds are consistent and there is little harsh weather. The temperatures during this time usually sit between 28-32 degrees Celsius. Much of the British Virgin Islands is also protected, with popular snorkelling destinations and reefs being nationally protected. This means that visitors need to moor their boats at designated areas instead of anchoring.
